Eaton’s Power Distribution Division is currently seeking an Operational Excellence (OPEX) Manager. This position is based in Wilsonville, OR
The Operational Excellence (OPEX) Manager will implement continuous improvement of quality, lean and safety processes and controls for the Portland Power Center operations.

You will guide the development and management of stable manufacturing processes that are safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible by applying EBS, EQMS (quality), ELSS (Lean / six sigma), MESH (EHS) and other Eaton and industry best practices.
You will lead in improving and maintaining a Zero Incident Safety work culture and lead continuous improvement efforts.
You will assist in training and development of personnel by identifying and leading kaizen events designed to provide continuous improvement to processes in product development, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. Additionally, maintain role as mentor and trainer to Production Supervisors in Lean concepts.
You will champion Cost Out through Eaton systems (EBS, ELSS, EQMS, MESH) and general process efficiency improvement activities to optimize the use of capital and human resources
You will improve productivity and achieve the cost of non-conformance (CONC) objectives and
incorporate Lean enterprise philosophies and Six Sigma technologies.
You will oversee the ISO 9001, Eaton Business Excellence and OpA certification processes to maintain certification status.
You will design, develop, justify and guide the installation of new equipment, tooling, processes and systems through appropriate procedures. Ensuring the optimum manufacturing cost can be achieved and maintained.
You will oversee and coordinate facilities and maintenance for the Portland Power Center,
coordinate the recruitment, selection, training, development, and performance reviews of direct report staff consisting of Warranty, Test and OpEx Technicians.
- You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and presenting OpEx key metrics to site’s leadership team on a monthly basis, lead monthly product line OpEx meetings (quality, continuous improvement, cost out)

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Lean and/or Continuous Improvement.
M.B.A. or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Quality
Professional Quality certifications (ex. CQE, CQA, CMBB, CMQ/OE)
Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Prior work experience in different functions is preferred to ensure this CI Manager sees the linkages between functions, impact of functional decisions downstream and how multiple functions work within a value stream.
Knowledge of Eaton applications

Directly supervises approximately 7 skilled employees (OpEx Technicians, Warranty Technician, Quality / Test Technicians)
Assume the responsibilities of the Plant and/or Operations Manager in his/her absence
Benchmark other Eaton plants for best practices. Share local best practices with other Eaton locations.
