Eaton Corporation Welder/Machine Operator- 1st Shift in White City, Oregon

Eaton Hydraulics in White City, Oregon has an opening for a Welder/Machine Operator on 1st shift.

This position will be for a candidate that can cover both Welding and Manual Machining responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to:

•Plan and perform a wide range of welding, brazing, burning and soldering operations on a variety of bodies, heads, caps, flanges, piston rods, and other cylinder components generally 8 inch bore or less.

•Weld in all positions with a variety of metals.

• Must be able lay a smooth bead, obtain proper penetration and fusion, avoid burning or distortion of metal, must create pressure containing welds.

The machine responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Set up and operate manual equipment to perform a normal range of operations on cylinder components generally 8 inch bore or less.

•Ability to Set Up and Operate a CNC Lathe and Machine Center is helpful.

Operations include:

• drilling, threading, tapping, recessing, finish turning, single point treading, boring, forming, reaming, counter boring, counter-sinking, spot facing, deburring and other similar machining operations to produce standard cylinder components.

• Cleaning and oiling of parts as required.

•Work with ferrous and nonferrous metals.

•Responsible for inspection and quality of all parts.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

•High school diploma and/or equivalent is required from an accredited institution

•AWS Welding Certificate or ability to pass the certification

•Ability to read and use blueprints.

•Abilities in the use of micrometers, verniers, and various other measuring instruments.

•No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of White City OR in order to be considered

•Must be authorized to work in the US without company Sponsorship.
