Eaton Corporation Maintenance Support Technician (2nd Shift) in Van Wert, Ohio
Eaton has an opening for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician in Van Wert, OH. The primary responsibilities of this position is to build, rebuild, trouble shoot, and repair all facility machinery to company standards. Maintain building and facilities to company standards. Work with maintenance and production leaders to establish task selection and priority. Work safely at all times and attend appropriate training seminars. Maintain and improve skills through cross training and seminars..
Must be able to learn, apply, and retain new techniques, concepts and procedures required for continuously improving products, processes, services, deliveries and overall quality.
Ability to read and understand blue prints, control plans, routers, job instructions and measurement tools.
Must meet or exceed all quality standards set by the customers and individual Value Stream. Must also maintain the quality standards defined for the entire facility
Maintain flexibility to be able to move from work area to work area in order to meet the delivery expectations of the customers and the productivity goals for the plant. Able to work efficiently to establish standards without constant supervision.
Promote cooperation and "team oriented" work environment at all times under the direction of the leadership team.
Create/maintain a safe work environment and practice safety for himself and others at all times and attend appropriate training seminars.
Must maintain a clean and well-organized work environment and support our 5S program. Maintain building and facilities to company standard.
Able to work with PLC, PC, and CNC controls effectively as needed for maintenance
Able to use all types of hand tools and power tools, electrical testing equipment, and various painting, moving and construction equipment.
Build, rebuild, and trouble shoot repairs for all facility machinery to company standard
Work with production team leaders to establish task selection and priority
Must understand Total Productive Mfg (TPM) philosophy
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Notepad)
Must have PC skills in order to operate software utilized for our meaintenance management (Mainsaver)
Self-motivated and dependable
Able to plan and organize effectively
Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution AND completed a Federal or State Certified Multi-craft Maintenance or Machine Repair Apprenticeship or six (6) years documented experience working in the trade.
Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
No relocation provided – candidate must live within a commutable distance (50 miles)of the Van Wert, OH facility to be considered.
