The primary purpose of the role is to execute market outgrowth of the Powertrain product lines for the Vehicle Group. This includes setting direction through product line strategic planning, product portfolio management, supporting current product improvements and cost reduction efforts, developing key customer relationships, differentiated products and unique value propositions, ensuring flawless program launches– all through direct, indirect and cross-functional leadership of resources within the Vehicle Group team, as well as Regional and Functional VG resources.
Direct the planning, development, and execution of the strategic business plan to achieve global growth objectives; Partner with Regional leaders and sales teams to drive regional product growth.
Define the growth and marketing strategy by fully understanding the global markets and market requirements and translating these into service and product solutions; Partner with the Regional teams to capture VOC and to ensure that product and customer strategies are driven across multiple regions.
Manage the portfolio for the product line, which includes evaluating each opportunity based on its strategic significance and benefit for Eaton and recommending which products will be developed
Provide oversight for all programs, ensuring Focus 5 metrics are achieved.
Define product roadmap with direct linkage to the technology roadmap as well as aftermarket portfolio development when appropriate.
Demonstrate full ownership of the product life cycle, including aftermarket, service and end of product life
Define the value proposition and pricing strategy for the product line.
Develop and nurture executive relationships with new technology decision makers at key customers, gaining advance knowledge of and engagement in the new product planning cycle.
Identify specific opportunities to drive profitability improvements through pricing, portfolio management and harvest strategies.
Develop key leaders and build organizational capability for Eaton through assessment, selection and succession planning within the product line.
Foster an environment which promotes Eaton’s goals, values and philosophy, encourages continuous improvement and builds customer relationships, vigorously promotes excellence and pride of accomplishment among all the global product line employees and ensures that the attitudes are matched by engagement and accomplishment.

Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering;
15+ years of experience, with global operations, engineering and leadership.
Strong background in goal deployment, strategic planning and building organizational capability through communicating a vision that both engages and motivates the organization.
Demonstrated ability to lead a global cross-functional team in the development and implementation of product strategies
Fluent in English
Marketing and program management experience would be very beneficial.

A focused, intelligent individual who is a pragmatic motivator with a good decision making skills
