Eaton Corporation Engineer - Valvetrain Advanced Engineering in Torino, Italy
Eaton Corporation has an opening for an Engineer - Valvetrain Advanced Engineering for its EMEA Vehicle Group Headquarter in Torino (Italy).
• Perform all engineering activities such as a design, calculation/simulation, reporting and use DFSS tools related with VT advance engineering projects. Rise requests to technical services (testing, prototypes, lab met, metrology) and where necessary provide them with proper information to help completing the activities in the proper manner. Follow daily activities related to project evolution, and support preliminary 3D modeling related to any design improvement. Take active part to advanced products design reviews to finalize optimized components design.
A. Perform the assigned activities related to the design of the advanced VT products.
B. Gather information inside the organization to complete the assigned design activities
C. Report to senior engineers the feedback from testing activities, laboratory analysis and prototype, and prepare related engineering reports
D. Perform 3D packaging analysis and system definition on the basis of the results of the design verifications (UVGS, FEA, component dimensioning…)
E. Works in Team with engineering, design, fabrication, testing and prototype shops for any activity connected with the advanced VT projects.
F. Participate actively to periodic design reviews and be part of DFMEA teams.
G. Reports on activities with Engineering Reports and, on monthly basis, with Monthly Report.
H. Keep tracking of quality documentation and work in team with program manager for managing activities in accordance with project planning.
I. Follow laboratory and testing analyses and issue Engineering reports with findings
QualificationsEducation: Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical is preferred)
Experience: Knowledge of 3D CAD, FEM software (Ansys preferred), DFMEA, internal combustion engines.
Training: VT Design and Kinematic software (UVGS & VGDT), Eaton VT products design and production
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strict attention to detail
Fluent in English is a must
