Eaton Corporation Production Technician in Titchfield, United Kingdom

The core function of the role is to work in a safe manner whilst being responsible for the efficiency of machinery and equipment.

  • Maintains a safe working environment

  • Drives and sustains continuous improvement within the cell as defined by Eaton standards

  • Maintains a high standard of housekeeping at all times as defined by the Eaton standards

  • Has proven ability and competence to complete non-plating, anodizing and immersion processes.

  • Is capable of quick turnaround of high volume production processes within the drawing requirements to include:

  • Anodise, Chromic, Sulphuric

  • Alocrom

  • Caustic Stripping

  • Etch for Bonding

  • Passivation

  • Nital Etch

  • Masking, Bunging, Tape, Wax and other media’s as required

  • Phosphating and Vapour Media Cleaning

  • Is competent in self-inspection

  • Understands and is competent in using measuring equipment

  • In addition to the above has proven experience of two non-core skills which includes:

  • Hard Anodising – the specialist application of thicker, abrasion resistant anodic films on aluminium

  • All paint schemes and methods

  • Fluidic element manufacture (the electro-forming of nickel on ABS formers)

  • Vac Furnace, Brazing, SRG, H/T various (all heat treatment processes)

  • Chrome total (including flash chrome and hard chrome)

  • ENP Total, DNP, new build, repairs salvage (all other nickel based processes, both electroless and electroplate)

  • Tin, Silver new build, Copper

  • Repairs total

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship or 3 years’ experience of welding working within a similar manufacturing environment.

  • Good level of English and Maths

  • Technical aerospace knowledge would be advantageous
