Eaton Corporation New Product Development Manager in TH-City, Thailand

Job Summary

Golf Pride is a world leader in golf grips. Golf Pride develops and manufactures golf grips for Retail and OEM customers. 80% of products developed are for OEM customers and categorized as fast track where the development time is typically 3 months or less. This position is located in the NPD teams in Thailand. The Product Development Leader will have solid line responsibility to the APAC R&D Manager and dotted line responsibility to global development leaders.

Job Responsibilities

A. Drive product development by coordinating work by on site personnel according to priorities set by Global Development Leaders and the APAC R&D Manager. Coordinate support from design, tooling, materials, process, and performance testing to successfully complete pilot run qualification on time.

B. Lead OEM fast track product development achieving on time PPAP approval including all performance specifications..

C. Coordinate engineering services such as product design, tooling design, material development, prototype molding, finishing, and product testing in order to meet schedule deadlines.

D. Establish the 6 part specification for all products and ensure upload to Enovia as required for product documentation and PPAP readiness.

E. Support the Global Knowledge Base by recording all work and data using Enovia with designated attributes and classifications for file searching and retrieval.

F. Support Global Engineering Standards and Epic/Enovia product lifecycle management by leading development procedures and recording scheduled work and data as required..

G. Transfer products from NPD to ME following successful pilot run qualification.



Education level

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or materials science from an accredited institution

Years and area of experience required

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or materials science from an accredited institution

• One year of experience in documentation control

• Five years combined experience in product development or manufacturing

• English fluency both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master degree in engineering or chemistry from an accredited institution

• 8 years of product development experience

• 5 years creative problem solving skills & technical problem solving experience

• 5 years CNC Machining, EDM Tooling, injection molding and compression molding processes.

• Test development experience

• Documentation standards and change management experience.

Technical knowledge

Polymer science, rubber science, documentation control

Soft skills

• Practical skills to get things done without much supervision.

• Software skills in Word, PowerPoint and proficiency in Excel. Data management and online data management

• Golf experience and passion a plus.

• A disciplined and logical thought process.

• Multiple project management order to manage the high volume of projects.

• English Communication Skills are required.
