Eaton Corporation Sr Compliance Analyst in Syracuse, New York

Eaton is seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst for its Electrical Product group Crouse Hinds HQ. The Senior Compliance Analyst position will be located in Syracuse, NY.

Position Overview :

This role participates in the Accounting & Internal Control oversight and management of a large multi-national corporation, focusing primarily accounting standards and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. This is a dynamic opportunity at the Headquarters of a $1.3 Billion Global Division of a $21 Billion Global company. This position offers daily exposure to a wide range of functional teams (Finance, Operations, Sales and Marketing, R&D, HR, and Business Development) as well as with Finance Teams at Business Units and Divisions around the world.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform IC compliance testing reported on IC Scorecard ( quantitative testing)

  • Perform Monthly Internal BSR inspections

  • Assist with 2nd level BSR performance

  • Perform monthly Manual JE testing

  • Prepare monthly SCU compliance presentation

  • Track BSR findings/ remediation activity status

  • Coordinate internal/external audit requests locally

  • Assist with monthly close activities as needed

  • Assist with special/ad hoc projects throughout the year


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without requiring company sponsorship.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50 mile radius of the work location will be considered

Preferred Qualifications :

• Detailed knowledge of Eaton Financial Accounting Policies & Procedures

• Proficiency in financial accounting systems , i.e. SAP, Hyperion (HFM), RSD, and Khalix – Encore

• Experience in a large global manufacturing organization

• CPA/CMA/MBA (desired, not required)

• Proven cross functional engagement experience (desired, not required)

Position Criteria:

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting concepts, generally accepted accounting principles, Sarbanes Oxley, budget principles, and financial systems.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a complex, multi-national corporate structure.

  • Technical capabilities to prepare, analyze, and interpret comprehensive financial and operational information.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel.
