Technical Buyer (m/f)

Location: Soest - Germany

Manage the sourcing, negotiating and buying activities for a specified range of products in order to meet the Company´s operational requirements and goals, within a safe working environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Development and excecution of current and future procurement strategies.

  • Assess potential supplier and negotiate tenders and contracts in agreement with the specialist department.

  • Provide commercial and technical assistance to evaluate quotations.

  • Establish frame and sales agreements to EATON standards.

  • Manage and maintain purchase orders.

  • Actively maintain supplier performance to eliminate risk or impact on business operations and goals.

  • Increasing efficiency and reducing waste using techniques within actual ISO standards, material cost reduction and LEAN techniques.

  • Active collaboration in meetings and project business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • Relevant commercial education or equivalent.

  • Strong negotiation and inter-divisional decision making skills

  • Team oriented

  • Experience with Lean/5S/Six Sigma or other continuous improvement tools/processes

  • Very good knowledge of SAP and MS Office applications

  • Drive for results and ability to execute

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent German and English language skills are expected
