Eaton Corporation Global BD Director, e-Mobility in Shanghai Shi, China

Eaton’s eMobility Segment is seeking a Global Business Development Director to join our join our dynamic, entrepreneurial team.

The Global Business Development Director e-Mobility will be responsible for defining and executing Eaton’s e-Mobility partnership and inorganic growth objectives, including expanding Eaton’s presence in strategic markets and regions with specific focus on China, Europe and North America. The role will also be responsible for regional product strategy for China/Asia and providing input to the global product strategy for the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • You will support the SVP in identifying and executing on key growth and marking expansion opportunities.

  • You will develop and execute partnership and inorganic growth strategies that will drive growth, profitability and increase Eaton's competitive advantage to specific markets, including business review, competitive analysis, and financial modeling.

  • You will assess local China market needs, providing regional perspective as an input to the global product strategy requirements of the business.

  • Utilize Eaton Business System tools to drive execution of the segment's growth expansion strategy.

  • You will identify and analyze key market developments, growth opportunities, and develop strategic pipeline of new partnerships, M&A opportunities and joint ventures.

  • You will provide assessment and thought leadership on business strategy, identifying areas of interest, synergy potential, alternatives and key risks that enable the segment leadership to make inorganic investment decisions, and have a long-term impact on the business success.

  • You will work with senior leadership team to define and manage projects, and partner with corporate merger and acquisition teams on mergers, acquisitions, and other partnerships, including but not limited to the deal approval, financial assessment, project planning, key milestones, due diligence process, deal negotiations, and transactions.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Science or Engineering

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of strategy and planning experience working in a global corporation or consulting firm.

  • Excellent English communications skills and multi-lingual capability is a plus.

  • Proven experience in corporate strategy and development efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration

  • Preferable with solid knowledge and experience in vehicle markets in China / Asia.

  • Able to travel to domestic and international locations up to 50% of the time.
