Eaton Corporation Quality Technician (2nd Shift) in Searcy, Arkansas

Eaton’s hydraulics division is currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Searcy, AR facility.

  • You will read and interpret part blueprints and conclude the most appropriate and accurate method of part verification. Will use this knowledge in First Piece Verification, Incoming Inspection sampling and PPAP verification. In some instances there may not be standard gauging practices established.

  • You will perform calibrations, maintain calibration records, schedule outside resources to perform calibrations and maintain supplier accreditation certificates on a regularly scheduled basis. This will include calibration and maintenance of shop floor gauging equipment with accuracies to one millionth of an inch per gage manufacturer specifications and the IMS manual to be in compliance with ISO.

  • You will set up, maintain and properly operate all manner of delicate precision laboratory measurement equipment.

  • You will input transactions necessary for customer product returns, gage inventory control and calibration, incoming inspection, supplier part rejection process, CMM programming and operation, PPAP verification and approval or rejection process.

  • You will have working knowledge of several systems including; MfgPro, Eaton Response Network ( ERN ), WISPER, Gage Management System ( GMS ) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • You will write and maintain work instructions needed to perform duties.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

  • No relocation is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50 mile radius of Searcy, AR will be considered

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quality assurance experience

  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming experience

  • Experience working in a calibration lab or PPAP process

  • Machining experience

Position Success Criteria:

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and perform mathematical calculations.

  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally with all levels of internal and external contacts

  • On a regular basis will require effective communication skills for correspondence between suppliers, customers, internal and external Eaton employees.

  • Ability to work unsupervised and have problem solving and decision making abilities

  • Knowledge of quality control inspection procedures and manufacturing processes

  • Ability to follow written work instructions

  • Ability to evaluate information to conclude compliance with standards

  • Ability to interact and participate in a team-focused culture

  • Development and continuous improvement of standard work instructions
