Eaton Corporation Design Engineer MCBs in Sarbi, Romania


  • Executes all necessary product line support and technical product / platform documentation for Breakers and electronic Power Switching

  • Drives NPD or cost out projects of existing MCB products


  • Analyzes quality issues being related to product design and strives for solutions

  • Simulates mechanical designs with respect to accuracy and climatic influences

  • Designs and establishes test setups and runs experiments

  • Creates CAD models using CREO Elements Direct Modeling

  • Performs technical leadership for new design or cost out

  • Establishes regular communication meetings between R&D Romania and MCB and Building Automation product lines

  • Supports the production facilities in designing production equipment

  • Supports quality assurance and manufacturing in technical topics

  • Utilizes statistical methods for life cycle and reliability analyses

  • Acts as a project team member in PROLaunch projects


  • Basic knowledge about mechanical designs being built from plastic or metal

  • Consolidated knowledge in using CAD, analytical development and simulation tools

  • Goal-oriented way of working

  • High ability to work in cross-functional and global teams

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Willingness to learn and acquire new skills

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office

  • Is capable of handling a high volume of work

  • Collaborates with other technical departments in EMEA and globally

  • Adapts himself / herself to changing environment in a quick and flexible manner

  • Willingness to travel 10% of the working time
