Eaton Corporation Production Manager - Chile in Santiago, Chile

We are looking for a Production Manager in Santiago, Chile.

He/She will be responsible for:

  • Directs all manufacturing operations at the Chile plant. Insures safety, quality, engineering, production, production planning, resources management, and financial/cost objectives are met consistently with overall fulfillment of the Eaton Business System requirements.

  • As the Production Facility Manager is responsible for managing the manufacturing facility of customized Integrated Power Assemblies (IPAs) and other assembly of custom-made electrical distribution and industrial control products in order to generate a profit and positive cash flow through customer focus. Plans and controls manufacturing processes aligned with functional teams objectives, including Project Managers, Materials, Engineering, Quality Control and EHS.

  • The Production Manager supports the operation’s strategic plan by producing IPA and other assembly of custom-made electrical distribution and industrial control products that meet customer order/ delivery requirements and product quality standard in the most efficient manner, engages all employees in a continuous improvement culture and sponsors/facilitates continuous improvement activities and learning.

  • Provide accuracy and timely information and support related with production costs and lead times to the commercial teams in order to build effective customer projects and products proposals.

  • Building organizational capability across the team, and supporting employee development.


Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Electrical Engineering degree preferred.

  • Solid experience in manufacturing and/or project management expertise.

  • Solid experience managing people and/or project teams.

  • Great experience supporting projects of long cycle manufacturing processes, integration capabilities and project management for optimal solutions for the customer including know-how, size and capacity.

  • Cross-functional experience with scheduling, engineering and customer service functions.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and projects management systems.

  • Experience building organizational capability and talent.

  • Proven experience in Project Management; or a combination of Project Management and/or Engineering new product development, Operations, or Supply Chain Management

  • Fluent English

  • Desired/preferred Education and Knowledge:

  • MBA or advanced degree from an accredited university.

  • Strong proficiency in Program and Project Management methodologies, processes and tools

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) highly recommended

  • Lean Six Sigma and/or OpA Assessor certified.

  • Organizational Change Management Certification.
