Eaton Corporation Sourcing Coordinator in Santa Rosa Jauregui, Mexico
Responsible to find new opportunities, suppliers, reviewing quotes, proposals, prepare and send RFQs, trend and margin analysis for product or product family. Ensures proposals are aligned to business objectives.
Focuses and advises on managerial concerns of sourcing projects (e.g., technical, cost, schedule and resource allocation).
Demonstrating ability to operate on a global scale and persuade at different levels of the organization.
Monitors overall performance during all phases of sourcing process, develops and implements corrective action and recovery plans as required.
Effectively interface with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing.
Identifying Potential supply base in Mexico. Understand Mexican market factors and secure long term supply continuity.
Apply progressive costing/negotiation tactics to deliver the lowest total delivered cost to all markets.
Participate in Divisional VA/VE – including components localization.
I have coordinated the QRO Council meeting, prioritize projects, update plant productivity savings in Cprojects and update monthly COP presentations. (OPEX Activities)
I have identified and coordinated with all VSM´s the potential productivity projects that can Impact our plant Cost Productivity Savings. (OPEX Activities)
K. Provides monthly project updates (Program Status Report – Green/Yellow/Red) of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule).
L. Works in cross-disciplinary manner with other departments (e.g., Manufacturing, Marketing, Procurement, Customer Support, Human Resources, Product Engineering, Suppliers, etc.) and facilitates the PROLaunch processes.
Qualifications• 5 years in electrical industry or related experience.
• Knowledge with Microsoft Business Software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project 2003).
• Knowledge in PM (Project Management) methodology.
• Understanding of electrical industry and Eaton products and process.
• Knowledge in negotiations skills.
• Communications skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports.
• Experiences with direct material spend associated with machined, stamped, Casting, plastics or fabricated components.
• PPAP Knowledge and supplier on site assessments.
• Supplier Quality Knowledge.
• Manufacturing Processes Knowledge.
• Drawings interpretation.
• Ability to manage people.
• Basic knowledge in Finance - Project costing
