Eaton Corporation Tax Supervisor LATAM (Direct Tax) in Santa Fe, Mexico
Eaton’s Corporate division is currently seeking a Tax Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Mexico City Office.
The Tax Supervisor is responsible for the direct tax and informational reporting of 9 out of 18 Mexican legal entities, and will integrate the direct tax filings for some of the Spanish-speaking LATAM countries

Some activities related with the position will be:
A. Manage the LATAM Direct Tax COE, including income tax returns, provisional payments, DISIF, informative returns and other filings to be in compliance with the Mexican government for 9 out of 18 Mexican legal entities and some of the Spanish – speaking LATAM countries.
B. Review, mentor and develop the work of the LATAM Direct Tax COE analysts; and contribute to the success of the Team, improve review process and working papers
C. Co-work with the other supervisor and the LATAM Direct Tax COE Manager in order to align criteria within the companies, coordinate to comply the different projects and support each other to comply the deadlines and common goals
D. Assist Manager, LATAM Direct Tax COE in providing advice and technical assistance on direct tax issues to the Spanish-speaking LATAM businesses and shared service center, in accordance with Eaton policies
E. Analyze changes in Mexico Income Tax Law, the impact on the companies in charge and assist Manager, LATAM Direct Tax COE on the development of alternatives to mitigate the impact of adverse legislation, and evaluation of potential opportunities
F. Identify opportunities to take advantage of tax incentives and reduce tax liability, while mitigating risk and assist Manager, LATAM Direct Tax COE in implementing these opportunities
G. Attend and respond to any Authority Requests regarding Direct Tax for 9 out of 18 Mexican legal entities
H. Carry out responsibilities and activities aligned with the values of the company and promote collaboration within the Direct Tax Team
I. Support the Manager, LATAM Direct Tax COE on common goals related to training, budget, and promote the values of the company
J. Create strong relationships with the key personnel of the companies in charge

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Minimum of 04 years Mexican tax experience gained in a professional firm, multi-national company or Tax Authority
CPA or comparable qualification
Experience with a Big 4 firm, combined with major corporate tax experience is a strong plus
Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with others (subordinates, peers, superiors) in a dynamic environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources, identify issues, develop, and implement solutions
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word,) and experience with different ERP systems (Oracle/SAP)
Fluent in English
