We are looking for National Electrical Wholesale BDM - Power Quality in Eaton’s Corporate Division, based in Sydney or Brisbane, Australia.

The role is reporting to the National Channel Manager ANZ, this role is responsible for applying sales and technical knowledge to increase Power Quality sales of UPS, racks, PDU, data centre software and accessory via the Eaton Electrical Wholesale channels. The role will ensure those products are marketed and promoted to customers via the electrical wholesale channel and that sales budgets for all allocated territories are met.

Your essential responsibilities:

  • Achieve PQ sales plan orders, sales and growth objectives for PQ Electrical Wholesale Channel business

  • Maintain national sales business in accordance with the designated sales targets

  • Find and develop new business opportunities with existing and potential new channel partners nationally

  • Maintain close relationships with key accounts, discussing customer technical requirements and creating solutions

  • Prepare or oversee preparation of tenders for products to meet the customer’s needs and promote opportunities for sales of the company’s products

  • Prepare or oversee preparation of contract documents for recommendation to senior management and then subsequent negotiation with clients

  • Monitor sales proposals and liaise with clients to modify proposals accordingly. Maintain contact with customer through to post-installation phases

  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends through personal contact with clients and suppliers, and attendance at industry association meetings, seminars and trade functions, etc.

  • Plan and report on customer calls, product requirements and provide regular progress reports and sales outlooks as directed by sales manager.

  • Ensure all activities comply with Eaton legal and ethical requirements.

  • Any other job related duties that may be requested from time to time.

  • Influence the key decision makers of the benefits of the Eaton Value Proposition

  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, prioritise and achieve targets

  • Must be proficient in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CRM tools

  • Possess strong negotiation skills


If you have:

  • 5+ years within the electrical and/or IT market

  • Strong electrical background
