Eaton Corporation Maintenance Utility Associate - 2nd Shift in Roanoke, Virginia

Eaton’s Vehicle Division is currently seeking a Maintenance Utility Associate to work 2nd Shift. This position is based at our Roanoke, VA facility.

The Maintenance Utility associate is a member of the Maintenance Team and is responsible for supporting the entire Roanoke facility through the listed duties and responsibilities.

  • You will dump and monitor trash and recyclable items

  • You will maintain clean and orderly outside property including lot and fence area

  • You will utilize floor sweeper/scrubber

  • You will maintain paper stock for copy and fax machines

  • You will perform janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, and stocking of paper products.

  • You will sort and stack pallets

  • You will remove stacks of broken pallets from staging areas

  • You will clean, mop, sweep aisles and locations as well as pick up trash and other facilities cleaning duties

  • You will report and remove safety hazards

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

  • No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Roanoke, VA facility will be considered.

Position Success Criteria

  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 lbs.

  • Must be available to work overtime and other shifts as necessary.

  • Ability to complete indoor and outdoor work

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, including fork lifts
