Eaton Corporation Test Equipment Engineer in Reynosa, Mexico

Responsible for testing the products produced in the plant according to the specifications and standards of Engineering, Quality and/or Clients.

A. Develops electrical and mechanical testing with the products according to the requirements and standards of Engineering, Quality and/or clients.

B. Trains and monitors technicians to develop tests on products

C. Collaborates with other departments to develop a team in order to solve issues related to product testing.

D. Manages the Maintenance Department.

E. Documents all results performed and send the results by email to the requestor. Responsible to accomplish with the specials testing instructions.

F. Notifies the requestor the failures of the product, the equipment unavailability, doubts referred by the required tests. Makes the necessary adjustments to solve issues for limited equipment.

G. Provides technical support to Engineering, Quality department in test equipment.

H. Makes electrical and mechanical tests according to all international standards.

I. Requests fixtures to Maintenance Department as much as needed for testing effect.

J. Develops new provider services.

• Mechanic engineering’s Degree, Electronics or Electrical.

• Experience in test equipment, as well as production equipment issues.

• Experience in PLC

• Capacity to improve the “software and hardware” of test equipment.

• Ability to speak both English and Spanish with US technicians to treat and solve issues related to the equipment.

Zero Incident Workplace Culture. The ability to integrate technical skill sets required to identify and eliminate hazards associated with a manufacturing process and its supporting elements.

• Knowledge and experience in the process value stream, specifications, equipment, cycle time and capabilities.

• Competencies considered include electrical circuit design, programmable controllers, safety interlock circuitry, lock out tag out, isolation of potential energy, ergonomics and material handling methods and procedures.

• Experience and knowledge with Hazardous Materials and Workplace Exposure including chemical use and storage, gases, noises, dust, fumes, vapors, and ventilation considerations.

Engagement in efforts to influence 100% ownership of safety, accountability, and the sharing of knowledge to a continued focus of creating a zero incident workplace.

EBS Tool Integration. Appropriate use of EBS elements, tools, and processes within the manufacturing / operations environment.

• ELSS: Knowledge and experience with the ELSS tools is necessary to continuously improve processes.

• PROLaunch: Use of PROLaunch for program management of new product development (NPD), standard transition process (STP), acquisition integration framework (AIF), and business process and services (BPS).

• EQS: Knowledge and use of quality processes, procedures, and tools in order to ensure quality products and services.

• EHS and MESH: Use of tools to minimize waste, pollution, and exposure to hazardous materials and conditions and to responsibly manage all resources and materials used.

Business Systems and Practices. Knowledge of and experience with appropriate enterprise and shop floor information systems.

• Enterprise applications may include order processing, financials, engineering, and manufacturing.

• Shop floor manufacturing execution systems may encompass document control, detailed scheduling, process management, quality management, product tracking, data collection, performance analysis, and maintenance management.

• In addition to system knowledge, this competency includes the understanding of business practices associated with planning, executing, monitoring, and assessing operational activities and performance.

Examples include capital appropriation request process, manufacturing expense allocations, product costing, bill of materials, routings, work instructions, process standards, and OEE.
