Eaton Corporation Purchasing Supervisor in Reynosa, Mexico
The Supervisor of Materials Planning has direct responsibility for material delivery to all Eaton Hydraulics PMC sites. The supervisor is responsible for a team of materials planners and analysts who are the primary single point contact for all Eaton Hydraulics Suppliers and the materials teams at the Eaton Operations facilities.
This position has responsibility for material replenishment including the deployment of Min-Max replenishment with the supply base, managing inventories at their optimum level, ensuring material system and item setups align to the items PFEP, daily shortage reporting and expediting, supplier delivery metrics review, and any task related to product delivery.
This position requires active coordination with the SIOP, Production Scheduling, Inventory Management, & Customer Service. A strong focus is placed on implementing processes and ensuring continuous improvement and customer focus. The team lead by the supervisor must provide 24/7 support to the plants and manage all situations with a sense of urgency and problem resolution focused on the immediate issue and longer term improvements.
As a key supervisor in the Hydraulics Materials team, this position will play an active role in the Eaton Hydraulics Materials Council. In doing so, this position will be responsible to drive and/or participate on project teams to launch standardized materials processes across the Eaton Hydraulics Plants.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more (or combination of) the following functional areas: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management, or Logistics.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Materials Mgt: Material Planning, Master Scheduling, Materials Analysis, etc.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with an large scale MRP system; Oracle, SAP, MFG Pro, etc.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory role
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
APICS CPIM certification
Minimum of 3 year of Manufacturing/plant experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with consumption based replenishment; Min-max, Kanban, etc.
Minimum of 1 year of experience with MRP master data management
Understanding of the SIOP process steps: Forecast, Demand, Supply, Consensus, Executive
Practical understanding of SIOP driven Materials Management including forecasting, scheduling, capacity analysis and inventory management.
Strong analytical and cognitive skills.
Excellent interpersonal relationship building and team work skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong project management experience
Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and document complex business processes and systems.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel.
Ability to train and mentor new employees in Materials Planning tools and processes
Ability to independently manage Materials and Operations projects
