Eaton Corporation Manager, Strategic Procurement in Reynosa, Mexico
Eaton’s Hydraulics division is currently seeking a "Strategic Procurement Manager" to join our team. This position is based at our Reynosa Hydraulics facility.
The Strategic Procurement Manager is responsible for the development, deployment and execution of direct material projects and commodity strategies for the Hydraulics business (including new product development projects), along with the financial tracking/supporting for Hydraulic Group SCM performance and forecasting. This leader will incorporate standard processes and EBS tools, drive functional improvement and development of the SCM organization, to develop & execute SCM initiatives. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Product Management, Operations and Engineering to develop, manage and implement the annual profit plan cost out strategies which meet the organization’s financial goals and to deploy and standardize SCM processes across the entire organization

A. Provide leadership in development of direct material procurement strategies and projects through coaching, goal setting and personal development initiatives.
B. Lead direct material sourcing projects and plans, collaborating with the extended Reynosa SCM team, focused on project schedule goals and objectives.
C. Initiate, plan, monitor, execute and close direct material SCM projects within a portfolio program management tool. The projects will provide overall NET savings, performance improvement and capacity plans to achieve SCM objectives.
D. Deploy EBS procurement tools, processes and procedures, including Eaton Standard Sourcing Process, Project Management SharePoint Database, Approved Supplier List, centralized project planning & coordination, and Net productivity.
E. Lead the execution of Commodity Strategies, SCM Cost Out Project Pipeline, Supplier Risk Reviews, Supplier Relationship Management & Scorecard reviews, LTA negotiations and VA/VE events.
F. Lead the development of Mexico sourcing localization plans in alignment with Commodity Managers to build future cost reduction projects to ensure pipeline is capable of sustaining cost reduction targets for the business.
G. Lead the annual Profit Plan development SCM Cost Out plans
H. Lead and improve the monthly cost out/cost up/surcharge reporting process for the Reynosa campus, including the rest of year forecast as reported in the Cost Out Database, through the Financial Specialist.
I. Serve as the SCM leader for New Product Development projects moving through ProLaunch to ensure alignment with sourcing strategies and the global manufacturing footprint.
J. Develop strong positive ethical relationships with suppliers & adhere to Eaton’s Code of Conduct.
K. Manage supplier compliance and communications associated with Eaton Corporate initiatives (Ethics compliance, EHS requirements, etc.).
L. Drive supplier performance improvement initiatives related to delivery, capacity and quality.

Minimum 7 years supply chain management experience
Procurement management expertise
Experience developing sourcing localization strategies
Ability to lead teams, influence and manage people
Demonstrated leader and relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills
Experience working globally and dealing with multi-national and off-shore suppliers
Manufacturing industry/environment experience required
Strong ethics and professional presence required
Proven negotiation skills
Demonstrated project leadership success spanning multiple regions
Results and detailed oriented
Commodity or technical expertise preferred in the areas of Hose Materials and Metals.
