Eaton Corporation Commodity Specialist in Reynosa, Mexico

Responsible to manage the development and the deployment of several direct material commodities for the Hydraulics Filtration division in Reynosa. Supported commodities will include castings, machined components, steel, filter fabric/material, plastics, subassemblies, and others. Total spend managed will be $12M USD.

This role will assist in the development and management of sourcing strategies for Filtration and execute those strategies to achieve growth, cost, quality and delivery goals. They will be responsible for managing the commodity in sourcing, supplier selection and relationship building with key suppliers to leverage Eaton’s purchases. The Commodity Specialist executes direct material cost out projects and strategies which requires global coordination with Supply Chain, Product Management, Operations and Engineering.

Qualifications

Basic:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited university

  • Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing, Engineering, or Supply Chain experience

  • Proficient in spoken and written English.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 5 years of Supply Chain experience for a global manufacturer

  • Project Management experience

  • Buying and strategic procurement experience
