As Product Marketing and Operations Manager, Distributed Power Quality you will have the chance to develop and charge at a fast growing product segment for the world’s largest IT companies and mission critical customers. This position will have primary management responsibility for Eaton’s global rack power distribution unit (PDU) portfolio as well as IT rack enclosures. Customer intimacy will be crucial as you will be charging for the creation of go to market initiatives, IoT enabled products, and new product development that provides value to Eaton channels and customer. This Product Marketing and Operations Manager will also drive OPEX by leading supply chain efforts and deliverying on OTP and DOH targets. This position is expected to evaluate our global manufacturing footprint and drive an optimized global supply chain that can offer a cost optimized industry leading offering. This position will require engagement with Eaton global teams (EMEA and APAC) as you drive for global standardization and solutions for the market worldwide.
In this role you will:
Lead the development of launch plans and programs to drive market adoption of new and existing rack PDU and IT rack enclosures products and solutions.
Managing all functional aspects of the products including forecasting, quality/CONC, inventory, system data management and pricing.
Provide a technical SME to customers, electrical distributors, Datacom agents, OEM’s, End Users and manufacturer’s agents.
Lead Global Product Line discussions around market trends, competitive analysis and research
Be able to maintain a cooperative and credible working relationship with customers and internal sales personnel to drive and assure customer satisfaction and affinity.
Support product design organization through new product introduction phase to ensure customer manufacturing delivery times are met, while ensuring sustainable, measurable processes are developed and maintained.
Assess performance indicators, and takes appropriate actions, to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met. Supports cost out and continuous improvement activities through the use of ELSS tools and design for manufacturing cost initiatives
Minimum (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Marketing, or related business from an accredited institution required
+7 years of consultative selling experience and/or
+5 years of product/program management experience
Commercial and distribution channel management knowledge
Ability to travel up to 20%
Proven ability to drive specification and bring opportunities from “cradle to grave”
Experience working with distributors, resellers, system integrators, and end user focusing on the mission critical, information technology and power market is beneficial
Experience with software, gateway (IoT) and rack enclosure products and/or IT solutions or other types of power quality products preferred
Strong technical background in Data Center Power Solutions is most desirable
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
Able to build strong networks across the global Eaton Manufacturing function as well as with functional matrixed leaders that support plant success.
Prior industry (Datacenter/IT) experience
Prior experience with system integrators (i.e... Dell, IBM, WWT)
Knowledge of Manufacturing practices- Production scheduling, Materials Planning, Quality
Master’s degree and/or MBA preferred
Prior rack PDU experience
+10 years of sales and reselling experience preferred
