Eaton Corporation Sr. Tooling Planner in Queretaro, Mexico
Eaton’s Hydraulics division is currently seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer to join our team.
This position is based at our Queretaro facility.
The Senior Tooling Engineer is responsible provide daily support to production cells on machine improvements focusing on workholding & tooling. Maintain tooling purchasing parameters and cost forecast reports updated in order to collaborate with production metrics achievements.

Some activities related with the position will be:
Ensure tooling is always available for Production.
Ensure Tooling and special tools comply with the required standards on the max/min inventory.
Implement and strictly follow Leader Standard Work process.
Review/analyze SIOP/forecasting, working with Materials master planner, to provide tools and tooling visibility.
Maintains Tooling cost forecast reports always updated to ensure information is readily available.
Maintains purchasing parameters in adequate databased to ensure proper order generation and Tooling replenishment.
Develop tooling’s purchasing and schedules for new products.
Communicating with suppliers regarding past due shipments and drop-in requirements.
Ensure that site planning functions work effectively with production personnel to match supply with demand, at minimum cost and maximum efficiency.
Prepare reports in conjunction with the production planner in tooling scheduling work for the product lines assigned.
Participate in the cell team to achieve metrics on High Five metrics.
Comply with all applicable Safety, Quality, Health & Environmental and Human Resources policies and procedures.
Support and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out and/or demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives.

Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering
5 years of experience in Manufacturing Industry
Familiar with forecasting tools.
Experience in Material Requierement Planning, Master Production Scheduling, Min-Max tools.
Excel Intermediate Skills.
APICS CPIM certification preferred
Experience in ERP systems. MFG Pro software preferred
