We are looking forward to a Senior Analyst – IT (SAP EDI) in Eaton’s Enterprise IT business, based in Pune, India.

This exciting role is required to manage implementation of EDI products and services for new and existing trading partners, by coordinating all activities including initial stages of contact, developing requirements definition, construction, testing and the roll out while working very closely with trading partners and other team members.

SAP EDI analyst will serve as a liaison between internal customer/supplier facing departments and external trading partners and identify opportunities to leverage EDI technology to reduce costs, improve accuracy and comply with trading partner requirements.

Your essential responsibilities:

A. Participates in implementation/enhancement projects for target system using Remedy and PROLaunch.

B. Participates in the entire project lifecycle: analysis of proposed process/system changes.

C. Helps manage requirements scope & disposition through process compliance & gap analysis, integration testing & user acceptance methodology

D. Gathers requirement using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, process analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints.

E. Management of approved requirements specifications & verification of implementation scope.

F. Completes project related deliverables including future state design documentation and requirements documentation.

G. Participates in unit testing, integration testing, level 3 support and review of training materials.

H. Supports user acceptance testing events and schedules

I. Responsible for intermediate level system configurations

J. Prepares and provides training as required to business process owners and other key stakeholders.

K. Effectively communicates the status for deliverables to project management and leadership to effectively mitigate risks and resolve issues.

L. Responsible for applying business knowledge and best practices toward solution design for the system.

M. Responsible for adherence of Eaton standard change management process.


If you are:

  • Bachelor in Engineering/B.E/B. Tech and/or required equivalent. Overall 6+ years of development/business analyst experience. And have most of the below skills:

  • SAP Sales & Distribution experience related to EDI IDoc transactional processing, tables, parameters and output types

  • Sterling Integrator (SI) / B2B Integrator mapping expertise with ANSI X12 & EDIFACT standards and advanced mapping rules.

  • EDI transactions, including, but not limited to: 850, 855, 856, 810, 830, 862, ORDERS, ORDRSP, INVOIC, DELFOR, DELJIT, DESADV

  • Experienced on handling projects, mergers and acquisitions related to EDI.

  • Must understand the full life cycle of implementing a new Trading Partner or an EDI transaction

  • Experience in SI / B2B Integrator business process development and trouble shooting

  • Familiar with communication protocols AS2, SFTP, VAN, and X.400 and recommend most appropriate solution.

  • Familiar with data file types (SAP IDocs, XML, CSV, EDI, Flat Files, etc) and mappings.
