Eaton Corporation Lead Analyst - SCM in Pune, India
Support engineering function through providing leadership to indirect sourcing function for all Indirect Commodities.
Lead infrastructure projects for office and test labs
Drive prototyping during design validation stage with exploration of new technology suppliers such as additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping.
Developing and deploying the Flex resource model to EIIC working closely with Leadership team
Providing leadership for the Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) Indirect sourcing Team and liaison with global Supply Chain teams, Direct sourcing teams, EIIC stakeholders & Supply Chain shared Service in the region to drive operational, cost efficiencies and doing business right. Drive innovation, technology identification and implementation of effective solutions to engineering problems working closely with the product and COE teams across the organization on sourcing front.
Support/Drive overall strategy for sourcing team processes and capabilities to deliver high performance, on-time delivery in line with the business objectives & stakeholder needs.
Develop & deploy functional improvement strategies by initiating DMAIC \ LEAN initiatives & implementing best practices.
Maintain close liaison with Global counterparts during the project planning and execution to ensure smooth execution of EIIC engineering projects by anticipating demand for resources (outsourcing \ material \ execution needs) and plan to meet year over year cost outs.
Interface with internal customers to conceive, develop, execute and communicate plans.
Implement & drive metrics based on the Organization requirement.
Maintains a project/work log to facilitate project workflow.
Resource allocation & ensure projects are completed within the required time frame.
Promotes and maintains a professional work environment.
Manages and develops people: identifies, attracts and develops key talent for the organization
Initiate & implement process improvements to support the operations; Performance Management, Employee Survey, DMAIC & VA/VE.
Ensure complete legal compliance through tax and accounting audits as per local and international requirements
Experience related to resource planning and prototyping sourcing is plus.
Engineering degree required (Mechanical/Electrical Preferred)
Minimum of 10 years of work experience in an SCM organization
Project Management Certification (PMP)
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) from ISM, USA
Proven capability in building strong Sourcing organization
Strong multinational work experience in Sourcing/Supply Chain – Experience in setting up or operating in a “Special Economy Zone” Sourcing organization in India for a Multi-National company is a plus
Ability to effectively lead and motivate teams in a Matrix organization
Ability to efficiently manage upwards in a Matrix organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
