Eaton’s Power Electronics Centre of Excellence opened a new position for a

Laboratory specialist - Power Electronics

Job description:

  • PCB design of subcomponents for power converters (auxiliary, measuring units, control units etc.)

  • Performs power electronics functional testing

  • Works with power electronics design engineers to develop test plans and specifications, select measurement equipment, and build test fixtures

  • Constructs, tests, and troubleshoots prototype devices

  • Collaborates with power electronics, mechanical, thermal, and firmware engineers to successfully test and validate the designs

Qualifications

  • Secondary school graduate or university degree in electrical engineering or similar

  • Experience in PCB layout, soldering, and knowledge of PCB assembly process

  • Knowledge in analog/digital circuitry or ambitions to learn power electronics welcome

  • Experience in measuring devices and with laboratory electrical equipment

  • Knowledge of electrical safety rules

  • Ability to learn new skills, technical knowledge, products, or industry
