Eaton Corporation Senior Financial Analyst in Nottingham, United Kingdom
To provide financial and commercial analysis of business data. This will require working with various data sources from SAP, Business Warehouse, T&A system, CRM and Excel to assist the budgeting, planning and decision making processes. There will be a strong emphasis on analytical support for margin/pricing analysis, variance investigation and management reporting. The position will also be expected to deputise for the Plant Accountant as necessary.
A. Analysis of monthly results (Financial & Operational) and variance analysis for monthly reporting pack.
B. Daily & weekly metric reporting for Business unit and Division.
C. Preparation of data for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs to Division.
D. Compilation of data to aid forecasting, budget process and Long Range Planning. Completing reports and providing analysis for the forecasting process
E. Maintaining budgets and forecasts in SAP and Excel formats.
F. Maintain Price Realisation model and monthly reporting. Develop the model in line with corporate requirements.
G. Maintain the Customer Profitability report (by standard margin & overall profitability) and monthly reporting and develop in line with the business needs
H. Maintain the Product Profitability report, along with other monthly reports and develop in line with the business needs.
I. Development of reports to monitor standard cost price changes and monitor monthly.
J. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations as directed by the Plant Accountant.
K. Assist in Month End Close routines.
L .Provide analysis of the Excess & Obsolete inventory and lead the monthly E&O meeting tasked with reducing and preventing E&O being created.
Accountancy background (ideally CIMA Operational level qualified)
Strong analytic and numeric skills essential.
Demonstrable understanding of the key drivers in business performance.
Strong computer literacy including MS Office (expert Excel user) is a given. SAP and Business Warehouse and SQL knowledge is desirable but not essential.
A high standard of oral and written communication skills.
Ability to apply a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Confident, organised, and self-starter able to work on their own initiative.
Manufacturing experience preferred but not essential.
The candidate should have good organisational skills, be keen, enthusiastic, enquiring mind and motivated to succeed and progress in the role. Working to and meeting strict deadlines is vital, which may require working outside core hours of work.
