Eaton Automotive Valves Plant in Nordhausen has an opening for a Project Engineer
Eaton in Nordhausen with over 250 employees produces and sells intake, exhaust and hollow valves for the OEM’s and aftermarket.
The Nordhausen plant develops the final design and manufacturing process for hollow valves and therefore forms “Eaton’s Center of Excellence for Hollow Valve Production”.
Location: Nordhausen Germany
Plan, organize, and supervises all activities which are related to Capital Expenditure plan of the facility
Create innovative solutions, manage Capital Expenditure approval process, creates machine/equipment specification, request offers from various suppliers, plan, lead and track project activities
Lead and coordinate multiple external resources related to project, provide safety introductions for external services
Investigate, write and track Capital Expenditure projects from financial perspective in cooperation with controlling
Actively participate on (monthly) Capital Expenditure calls to report the status of the facility
Lead and coordinates implementation of continuous improvement projects at plant level
Work cross-functional with multiple departments/levels internally and externally, actively participate on conference calls
Participate actively in operational meetings, walks the production floor, and provides “visual leadership" at all levels of the organization
Active participation in energy saving actions included in Capital Expenditure projects
Lead relevant safety initiatives to help drive toward a goal of zero-incident culture
We would like you to know:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred
Professional experience within engineering, manufacturing/technical project management
Advanced knowledge of Project Management tools
Excellent written and oral communication in German and English language
