Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division is currently seeking a Power Distribution Services Project Leader to join our team. This position is based at our Morrisville, NC facility.

The Power Distribution Services Project Leader is responsible for providing overall project coordination, support, and mentorship for medium to large field service projects. In this role, you will work on new equipment acceptance testing, preventative maintenance and equipment repair/modification outages, troubleshooting of low, medium, and high voltage systems; advise customers and provide best technical solution to solve the customer issue; complete assigned jobs with assistance from and utilizing field technicians and engineers. As needed, have the ability to conduct field services testing, site investigations, equipment evaluations, modifications and upgrades.

You will provide overall project oversight and management of complex projects that require planning and coordination of multiple resources (personnel, equipment, contractors, etc.) as well as utilizing applied engineering and technical consultation for customers in the areas installation, startup, maintenance, equipment modifications and installations, repairs and training.
You will interpret specs and customer inquiries and design technical proposals and pricing for customers
You will provide technical solutions to customers that may involve equipment design or upgrades, testing of equipment, solutions relating to increase safety, reliability, or efficiency
You will mentor and coach other engineers with an emphasis on Commercial, Marketing, and Customer Relationships.
You will have the opportunity to provide overall project management and guidance of small, medium, and large and projects unassisted
You will provide Operational Support including but not limited to: operations and business reviews, backlog reviews, job log and project scheduling reviews.
You will provide project negotiation and proposal support

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years of power distribution or electrical industry experience
No relocation is provided. Only candidates that reside within 50 miles will be considered.
Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Project management and hands-on experience in construction, field service, industrial, facilities or maintenance industries
Minimum 7 years of power distribution experience
Bachelor degree focused in Engineering, construction or industrial disciplines from an accredited institution
NICET or PMP Certification
Position Success Criteria:
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings.
Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
