Eaton Corporation Senior Financial Analyst in Moon Township, Pennsylvania
Eaton’s Electrical North America Sales division is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Moon Township, PA.
The Senior Financial Analyst is accountable for various financial responsibilities in the monthly closing process, development of forecasts, and providing proactive analysis. Gather and investigate financial data and ensure conformity to corporate policies and procedures. Administer the ‘Z’ program and drive the annual close out processes of the Profit Incentive program for field-based sales employees. Prepare operational reports and analysis for presentation to North American Sales (NAS) management.

You will serve as the key financial contact for the Project Variance Program (Z). Maintain Z Policy, analyze /authorize Z transactions, prepare monthly reporting and perform Profit Incentive calculations monthly. Lead financial close out of the annual Profit Incentive program.
You will assist in the monthly financial closing, via the collection, examination and analysis of data from various sources. Complete month end reporting and provide insight on internal customer inquiries of financial results. Investigate variances and evaluate their effect on planned objectives; proactively explore questionable entries and advise management of potential problems.
You will analyze and reconcile leased offices where we are the lead tenant; prepare annual profit plan allocation for partner tenants.
You will partner with facilities and IT teams to forecast, track, and capitalize fixed/software assets ($4M planned for 2019); maintain integrity of assets through internal controls.
You will compare operational data and financial reports to prior periods, forecasts or objectives. Furnish the data to the Manager of Financial Accounting and/or VP of Finance in a timely manner, highlighting areas of concern and providing potential alternative courses of action through the development and subsequent interpretation of the financial information.
You will maintain and analyze monthly entries made to budgets and balance sheet accounts which include the processing of accounting entries and the analysis of charges for accuracy and correctness of account distribution. Assume responsibility for review of assigned balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure all GAAP and SOX compliance requirements are met.
You will research, compile and analyze financial data on an ad hoc basis, as required. Present summarized results, analysis and recommendations to management, focusing on continuous business process improvements, challenging current processes/procedures to determine if improvements are deemed appropriate and consequently implement process improvements.
You will work cross-functionally to serve as a financial business partner to NAS internal customers in the development and monthly review of the individual budgets by preparing and communicating insightful analysis for their review.
You will complete other responsibilities, ad hoc reporting, and special projects as assigned

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
Minimum two (2) years of experience working in financial planning or general accounting
Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
High proficiency in Excel, Access, and other Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of Oracle and/or Longview
Experience with compliance and internal and external audits
