Eaton Corporation Senior Analyst – Direct Source Planner in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Eaton’s Electrical Products Group is currently seeking a Senior Analyst – Direct Source Planner to join our team.

This position is based at our Moon Township, PA facility.

This position focuses on coordinating sales and marketing forecasts into a planning and purchasing plan that will satisfy customer expectations, while minimizing inventory investment, and maximizing customer growth opportunities. This includes issuance of purchase orders to internal and external suppliers.

Additional responsibilities may include: Demand planning and support of manufacturing operations to meet inventory and customer satisfaction goals.

In this role you will:

  • Lead, coordinate and manage monthly Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning (SIOP) meetings with marketing, manufacturing locations, and suppliers to review prior performance and establish short and long term business plans.

  • Review purchasing requisitions and issue purchase orders to internal and external vendors to support business objectives, service levels and inventory goals.

  • Manage (expedite and/or delay) purchase orders to satisfy existing or new customer requirements.

  • Manage and maintain finished goods inventory levels at distribution centers to maximize customer service while minimizing inventory investment. Prepare finished goods inventory forecasts as required.

  • Communicate with distribution centers on a regular basis to provide shipment coordination and issuing advanced shipping notifications (ASNs), knowledge of significant upcoming activity, changes in numbers of SKU’s, project management, etc.

  • Provide support and coordinate the phase-in of new products and phase-out of obsolete, in order to monitor and minimize excess inventory investment.

  • Manage and maintain supplier invoice hold processes.

  • Collect and incorporate customer forecasts and historical demand information into forecasting database to be used as in input into future demand and procurement plans.

  • Standardize and publish daily status reports tracking key metrics that drive the business.

  • Perform VISTA (proprietary Order Management system) product registration and maintenance.

  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve customer service, inventory and operational

performance to divisional and plant leadership.

  • Support other Supply Chain materials functions as identified.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in production planning, Purchasing, SIOP, or customer service.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50 mile radius) will be considered. Active duty military candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Technical Discipline from an accredited institution.

  • Proficiency in VISTA order management, MAPICS or other ERP system, Forecast Pro software and use of Hummingbird software (Mentor)
