Eaton Corporation Regional Product Manager in Maumee, Ohio

Eaton’s Hydraulics Division is seeking a Regional Product Manager to be based at our Maumee, OH office.

Position Overview :

Eaton’s $2B Hydraulics business serves global and diverse markets and customers with four major product lines: Power & Motion Controls, Fluid Conveyance, Golf Grip, and Filtration. 75% of the hydraulics business is focused on mobile segments (joystick controls, gear pumps, manifolds) and 25% on stationary segments (coolers, cylinders, piston & vane pumps). Headquartered in Eden Prairie, MN, we are constantly advancing hydraulics products in new and innovative ways.

Eaton’s Hydraulics Division is seeking a Regional Product Manager to be based at our Maumee, OH office. In this role, you will have regional product line management responsibility for a portfolio of products in the Industrial & Specialty Product Category. The Regional Product Manager is the lead for the product category in the Americas Region responsible for implementing growth strategies to drive product profitability, volume, mix, market share improvement, and price. Key responsibilities include: regional execution of the product lifecycle strategy, regional business development, regional PANP, regional product marketing, regional rationalization, regional promotion, regional strategic pricing and training.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • You will evaluate regional market & customer needs and lead regional PANP (penetration, attrition, new product and price) efforts to drive outgrowth of the product line.

  • You will lead the regional business development activities for the product category.

  • You will acquire & retain comprehensive knowledge of regional competitive positioning and competitor strategies.

  • You will support development of product strategies/roadmaps and lead execution of the Product Plan for the region; including positioning, managing product, segment & channel mix and developing targeted value propositions.

  • You will be the Regional lead for implementing strategic pricing.

  • You will support resolution of the commercial and technical issues that occur in the region for the product line.

  • You will monitor regional product profitability for each product line and recommend changes to meet Eaton top and bottom line objectives.

  • You will work with cross functional Product Category Team members to propose prioritization of product development activities.

  • You will interface with the Regional Eaton Sales Team, Distributors, and OEM customers to promote and support the sale of responsible product lines – with a strong focus on organic growth.

  • You will lead the regional development and deployment of marketing programs to drive organic sales for the assigned product lines.

You will act as key regional marketing resource for trade shows, Tech Days and other related National/International forums. Participation in Trade Associations.

  • You will provide support on commercial contract negotiations on a needed basis

  • You will support manufacturing footprint strategies in region based on customer/market requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 5 years of product management, marketing, sales, operations or product engineering experience.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Fluid Conveyance product experience

  • Hydraulics industry experience

  • Experience working with distribution channels, OEM’s and product marketing

Position Criteria:

  • Willing to travel at least 10% of the time.
