Eaton Corporation Test Driver in Marshall, Michigan
Eaton’s Vehicle Group, North America Auto Headquarters is seeking a Test Driver. The Test Driver will be based at our Marshall, MI facility.
The primary function of the Test Driver is the operation of commercial and passenger vehicles for testing and demonstration of Eaton Vehicle Group products. This position is also responsible for routine vehicle maintenance and providing supervision of contract drivers. Candidate must be willing to work any shift and weekends.

You will maintain a satisfactory and safe driving record
You will communicate testing results to engineering team
You will perform routine vehicle maintenance and check vehicle fluids
You will provide supervision and direction to contract drivers.
You will interact with customers on a regular basis
You will use diagnostic tools for system troubleshooting ( i.e. Service Ranger, Dearborn and Nexiq)
You will install and make minor changes to control software
You will use mechanical skills such as ability to change out transmission and clutch components as requested (i.e. ECA , XY , ECU and drivelines)

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Minimum of 6 Months CDL – Class A driving experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of the Marshall, MI site will be considered.
Associates degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
Doubles or Triple endorsement and construction truck experience is a plus (I.e. dump trucks, cement mixer)
Oversized and Heavy Haul experience
Position Success Criteria :
Ability to travel up to 10%
Willing to travel to customer sites for demonstrations for up to 2 weeks
Valid CDL with no citations
Willing to work any shift and weekends as business dictates
Ability to work in teams as well as independently
Customer interaction and conflict resolution skills
Flexible working hours (able to work all three shifts)
Effective communication skills
Mechanical aptitude with an ability to use hand tools for routine maintenance
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license (CDL Class A)
