Eaton Corporation Calibration Specialist Technician in Marshall, Michigan
Eaton’s Vehicle division is seeking a Calibration Specialist Technician to join our team. The position will be based at our Marshall, MI facility.
The Calibration Specialist Technician is responsible for guiding the effort for all calibration and preventative maintenance administration across Marshall Proving Grounds laboratories. This position requires demonstrated knowledge of several key areas of metrology including torque, pressure and physical/dimensional. The ideal candidate will have experience calibrating and troubleshooting the following types of test and measurement equipment: temperature devices, pressure devices, micrometers, indicators, torque wrenches/drivers, and other mechanical type gauges. You will also have the aptitude to improve, develop, and maintain calibration procedures and processes as needed.

You will develop and standardize the calibration and preventative maintenance processes for multiple laboratories.
You will coordinate the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
You will oversee the calibration of complex test systems.
You will maintain the database that tracks calibration and maintenance of equipment.
You will ensure that environmental conditions are monitored and maintained.
You will ensure that out of tolerance occurrences are addressed.
You will be planning, scheduling, and oversight of external calibration vendors.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Marshall, MI 49068 will be considered.
Associates degree in a science or technical field.
4 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
Prior experience with calibration systems and vendors (i.e. Trescal Asset Management (TAM)).
GD&T and/or CMM experience.
Experience with ISO 9000 quality standards.
