Eaton Corporation Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Quality in Lincoln, Illinois
Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Quality to join our team. This position is based at our Lincoln, IL facility.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Quality is responsible for coordinating, managing and assisting with plant quality issues as they pertain to products and processes, critical processes, division and corporate quality requirements and reporting, EQS, ISO and related training.
Reporting to the plant Operations Excellence Manager, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Quality will establish controls to measure and track critical plant processes, collects analyzes and reports monthly on all relevant processes and information and reviews purchase part rejections for notification to suppliers and resolution of issues. In this role, you will manage Plant ISO Processes and works daily with plant personnel to answer questions, address issues and drive continuous improvement in processes and outcomes.

You will receive and resolve all quality issues for international products.
You will establish controls to measure and track critical plant processes through coordination of plant’s Six-Sigma Program.
You will review and approve all purchase orders and invoices for durable tooling within the capital program to insure adherence to plant’s budget.
You will review purchased part rejections for notification to suppliers and resolution of issues.
You will work with quality systems specialist in management of ISO programs for plant.
You will participate in design and process FMEA for new and redesigned products.
You will coordinate quality department efforts during absence or manager, reviewing all incoming correspondence for necessary actions.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Experience working with ISO 9001 QMS
Knowledge of electrical principles
Working knowledge SPC and associated software.
Good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, molding, welding, assembly and finishing processes.
Experience utilizing problem solving skills
Good working knowledge of routing processes and associated software.
