Eaton Corporation Application Engineer in Leicestershire, United Kingdom

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and selecting suitable protection solutions to key strategic customers, comprising of new product development, customer design iterations and application service activities.

The essential functions of this role are:

  • Cooperate with assigned OEM design departments on new applications and provide accurate technical answers to enquiries

  • Propose and specify new product extensions to meet customers' needs for high-end solutions.

  • Maintain personal contact and establish important rapports with OEM Engineers to secure continuing and growing market acceptance of products

  • Work closely with key customers to detect technical trends

  • Conduct and coordinate high and low power product testing as required

  • Provide technical training and product familiarisation to internal and external customers

  • Support key initiatives to expand the product portfolio outside of over current protection product groups

  • Work closely with the global Engineering team to standardize on systems and processes to allow effective collaboration across all engineering groups

  • Maintenance of product literature

  • Support and develop programs and promotional activities to strengthen market position for sustained product lines

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have a degree within the power electronics, electronics or physics fields of study.

Previous experience within an applications role or electrical environment would be desirable but is not essential.
