Eaton Corporation Environmental Health and Safety Analyst in Kings Mountain, North Carolina
Eaton’s Vehicle Sector is seeking a talented Environmental, Health, and Safety Analyst for the Kings Mountain, NC facility.
Under the direction of the EHS Manager, the EHS Analyst exercises professional judgments in support of general environmental, health, and safety guidance for the site. The EHS Analyst performs a variety of duties related to Eaton’s Environmental, Health, and Safety management system (MESH) and Zero Incident Safety Culture (ZISC).

You will provide support for risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Ensures progress is made toward closing assigned actions to address key risks, and supports on-going programs that mitigate identified risks (i.e., ART program, Ergonomics assessments, etc.).
You will support achievement of appropriate leading and lagging indicators and tracks performance against targets and metrics.
You will support completion of the annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations and Eaton corporate policies (MESH, Carolina Star, and ISO-OHSAS assessments, etc.).
You will create and facilitates EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees (i.e., Safety Team, Ergonomics Team, ERT, Green Team)
You will record and maintains established EHS site-level data processes and corporate MESH Prism system to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.
You will assist with delivery of annual and new employee EHS Training. Creates training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion.
You will participate in EHS auditing/inspections for compliance to risks. Reviews audits and EHS data to identify trends, risk issues, and repeat issues that should be escalated for continual improvement.
You will assist in managing incident reporting, incident investigation, and worker’s compensation processes.

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
· Minimum 2 years of prior Environmental, Health, or Safety experience – or a combination of those functions
· Must be legally authorized to work for the US on an on-going basis without company sponsorship.
· Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline, engineering, or related field preferred
· Professional certifications and/or training certifications helpful (ASC, MESH, etc.)
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Demonstrates initiative and is self-directed, requires minimal supervision
· Demonstrates sense of urgency in completing assignments
