Eaton Corporation Sr Buyer in Juarez, Mexico
Responsible for procurement of specialized items and executing buying complex strategies in accordance with agreed upon material buying plans at the optimum cost/quality relationship. Analyzes market and industry conditions and develops supply recommendations. Negotiates select contracts. Interviews sales representatives and vendors. May coach Buyers.
This position executes purchasing of assigned commodities to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimum cost and quality
Implements procurement strategy based on the commodity , the Supply Chain and Customer needs / targets and build a successful relationship with key vendors and suppliers.
Key goals of the position are to achieve an appropriate balance between supplier quality/delivery expectations versus cost reduction mandates. Scope of the position encompasses major suppliers, broad mix of commodities namely: plastic, electric boards & electronic components , metal sheets , metal extrusion & injection within an international environment as we source globally.
Develop and manage supply base to support manufacturing and on-time delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree supply chain, engineering, finance or business
• 5 - 7 years of purchasing experience.
• Business acumen and Professional Presence.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Fluent English.
• Drive to solution in highly complex situations.
• Work in cross functional team and international environment
• SAP ERP, Purchasing experience

Knowledge of MAPICS (PO creation, inventory management, MRP ) … required
VISTA and Global VISTA application (Order creation, order maintenance)… required
MENTOR software knowledge (preferred)
SIOP process (preferred)
APICS Certification (preferred)
Knowledge of Eaton products and their application
MAPICS Super User.
