Eaton Corporation Senior Quality Engineer in Ji Ning, China
Support the successful implementation of Eaton Business System initiatives.
Support the establishment, deployment, maintenance and continual improvement of ISO9001 and IATF16949 quality system in compliance to Customer, Industry and Eaton requirements.
Support quality engineers for continuous improvement projects.
Direct in-process quality inspectors and inspection activities. Establish inspection processes for in-process inspections including added inspections for new product launches (ie GP-12).
Work with other quality functions to ensure alignment of quality activities including metallurgical, metrological and supplier quality.
Provide quality leadership for Quality Engineers for process/product control including the identification and implementation of appropriate statistical techniques for product and process improvements.
Support timely corrective action process that eliminates the root cause of product and process non-conformances with the goal of no repeat issues. Provide quality expertise in the use of appropriate analytical/statistical tools & methods. Customer corrective action process is to be understood and corrective actions completed in compliance to customer requirements.
Participate on PRO Launch/APQP cross-functional teams and effectively utilize the tools, techniques and methods. Have a solid working knowledge of APQP techniques as they pertain to industry, regulatory, Eaton and customer requirements.
Support the quality manager in leadership of the quality function.
Ensure safe work practices by all facility personnel.
Support metrology with the selection and development of new measurement systems. Provide quality expertise in the appropriate use of MSA methodologies.
Support the reduction of the Cost of Poor Quality components of scrap, rework and warranty through corrective actions and continual improvement projects.
Develop and conduct quality training programs for facility personnel.
N Monitor the performance of manufacturing processes to demonstrate compliance with customer requirements for product quality and process efficiency. The monitoring include the review of customer performance data including online customer portals and customer scorecards, where provided.
4 Year University Degree in Engineering, Quality, Business or Mathematics
3 years’ experience in the Automotive Industry working in Quality
Experience with new automotive product launches following AIAG APQP and PPAP requirements.
Knowledge and understanding of Automotive quality systems including ISO9001 and IATF16949, VDA 6.1, Industry, and customer specific requirements.
Familiar with quality tools : PPAP, APQP,MSA,CONTROL PLAN,SPC ,PFMEA
Process audit and prod-audit ability
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, forging, assembly, heat treat, etc.
The knowledge of a wide range of problem solving tools & methods, including statistics (CQE or Six Sigma Certification preferred).
Basic knowledge in computer operation;
Proficient in written and oral English
