Eaton Corporation Chief Heat Treat and Metallographic in Ji Ning, China

Lead develop new product Heat-treatment. Setup, validation and maintain process parameters/programs on heat-treatment machines to ensure that the manufacturing process and controls are capable of consistently producing products to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Work closely with QE, ME and production team on customer quality issues to enable problem resolution and prompt customer response. Communicate with customers as needed to understand issues and explain resolution. Lead -CQI-9 requirement deployment and support customer CQI-9 audit.

Lead HT process changes or introduce engineering changes with the guidance from Product engineering. Support SCM’s components localization activities for cost out.

Lead metallurgic technician work and lead metallurgist team work.

Establish and implement appropriate statistical control on Chemical and Metallurgical characteristics. Focus on Special processes and characteristics.

Ensure compliance to ISO/TS16949 requirements in support of third party and certification audits, and internal and Fresh Eyes audits.

Ensure the control of monitoring and measurement devices used to support laboratory testing.

Support development and maintenance of Laboratory Scope.

Provide Metallurgical Laboratory analysis support for the corrective action process. Prepare written reports on analysis results.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment in the quality metallurgical laboratory.

Establish set-up parameters and guidelines for all metallurgical processes.

Support Supplier Quality Assurance with the monitoring and control of the quality of incoming material.

Support the successful implementation of Eaton Business System initiatives.


Bachelor Degree in Metallurgical Engineering;

7-10 years’ experience of metallurgy in a machining manufacturing environment including advanced knowledge of metallurgical principles and inspection techniques;

At least 3 years as a manager of people;

Knowledge and understanding of Automotive quality systems including ISO/TS 16949, VDA 6.1, Industry, and customer specific requirements;

Familiar with quality 5 tools : PPAP, APQP,MSA,CONTROL PLAN,SPC

Level I minimum in ultrasonic, eddy current and liquid penetrants;

People skills management for interaction with managers, supervisors, and operators;

Knowledge of Problem solving skills and ability to apply them, Includes understanding of SPC techniques;

Effective communication skills including fluent in written and spoken English;

MS office and knowledge in computer operation.
