Eaton Corporation Program Manager III in Jackson, Mississippi

Eaton’s Aerospace Fuel Motion Control Systems division is seeking a Program Manager III to join our team. The position will be based at our Jackson, MS facility.

The Program Manager III is responsible for leading the leads the Platform, Site or Business Unit Program Management and Integrated Product Team(s) to drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and life of the program financial performance by managing customer programs, contracts, and business relationships.

  • You will manage the Profit and Loss of the Platform or Division’s site NPD projects. Responsibility, Authority and Accountability (RAA) for every project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments.

  • You will champion IPT leadership across the Platform or Division site/business unit. Facilitates the implementation of program management processes at the site, business unit or Division.

  • You will provide overall Program or site / business unit interface with the customer. Improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements.

  • You will improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements.

  • You will communicate and manage customer expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business.

  • You will maintain metrics for programs and contracts for earned value (CPI/SPI), quality, technical performance and delivery through all of the PROLaunch phases.

  • You will Manage customer contracts, pricing, terms and conditions and contractual flow-down through the organization.

  • You will provide periodic program updates (Program Status Report – Green/Yellow/Red) of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule).

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 5 years of Program Management in a new product development environment.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Jackson, MS 39206 will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA with engineering experience (preferred).

  • OR Masters in Engineering from an accredited institution.

  • Experience leading people.

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP).

  • Prior experience in Aerospace New Product Development (NPD) programs.

  • Fully demonstrating to proficient in Program and Project Management methodologies, processes and tools.

  • Experience in Risk Management.

    Position Success Criteria:

  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
