Eaton Corporation Materials Analyst in Indianapolis, Indiana
Eaton’s Vehicle Group North America division is currently seeking a Materials Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Eaton Logistics Facility (ELC) in Indianapolis, IN.
The Materials Analyst is responsible for performing parts analysis to ensure material availability for all value streams at the ELC, developing and distributing applicable reports to drive the business, and for analyzing all cycle adjustments and lead root cause analysis to minimize financial impact.
In this role, you will set up new part numbers in ERP system (Oracle) to help drive and sustain record integrity, drive inventory control throughout the site, serve as liaison for the ELC for centralized global planners, coordinate priority of material to ensure optimal OTD to the customer, and serve as back up to the ELC Materials Manager.

You will create weekly part shortage report to help drive communication with centralized planners and coordinate priority of inbound material.
You will create Min Max levels on select kits to drive MTS strategy and improve OTD.
You will support inventory reduction efforts through E&O management with centralized staff.
You will coordinate Inbound Materials management and ASN accuracy.
You will ensure outbound process flow and parts availability to achieve OTD requirements.
You will provide functional expertise for manufacturing strategy analysis to improve productivity.
You will prioritize disposition of non-conforming parts on Quality hold to minimize customer impact.
You will monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities where applicable to ensure the ELC meets monthly targets.
You will manage offsite inventories to ensure record integrity is maintained throughout ERP system.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now and in the future.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or engineering
Two or more years of experience in logistics, material planning, or supply chain management
An in-depth understanding of Oracle, and the ability to apply MRP and MPS principles, is preferred
Experience in working with third-party logistics providers is a plus
