Eaton Corporation Project Delivery Lead in Galesburg, Michigan

Eaton’s Vehicle division is seeking a Project Delivery Lead to join our team. The position will be based at our Galesburg, MI facility.

The Project Delivery Lead you will be integrated into various software development teams, responsible for understanding the technologies used, helping communicate project timing and ensuring delivery on functionality and timing milestones. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding and managing a team’s product development effort. You will support project teams of 2-10 designers, developers, and testers ­­– collaborating to create products for our users, from the idea phase through launch and beyond. You will also identify and help set the development strategy, partner with Product Owners to influence and guide product roadmap, translate between business requirements and technical requirements, and work closely with multiple product teams.

  • You will provide work estimates and guide design, implementation, and code reviews.

  • You will guide, manage and execute agile work plans for iterative and incremental project delivery.

  • You will maintain job knowledge by studying software development techniques and programming languages.

  • You will direct and aid in the professional development of other engineers.

  • You will oversee test teams to ensure adequate and appropriate coverage and test validation.

  • You will work directly with stakeholders, engineering, and test to create high quality products that solve end-user problems.

  • You will work with business executives to understand product requirements and vision.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, graphic design, business, or technology from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 3 years of design or development experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years of project, program, or product management experience.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of project, program, or product management experience.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD concepts, tools, and technologies.

  • Familiarity with User Interface Design and User Experience (UI/UX) concepts.

  • Experience with backlog management, familiarity with VSTS is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Human-Centered Design (HCD) concepts and practices.

Position Success Criteria:

  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Must possess ability to drive process improvement.

  • Empowered to make project prioritizations in discussions with internal and external customers and partners.

  • Working within the PROLaunch process, must interface with Product Planning, Program Management, Sales, Marketing, Product Support, and Technical Service functions.
