The primary function of this role is to define, implement and lead the customer strategy for Vehicle Group North America’s (VGNA) contract manufacturing business and key OEM assigned accounts.
This position is responsible for managing current business with the ECJV and creating the customer strategy to actively seek out and engage new customer prospects. This position will lead the design and implementation of global and NAFTA sales strategies for assigned account. Lead and collaborate with the Account Management team and senior leadership to deliver growth strategies that meet customer needs.
Essential functions include:
Lead multi-functional and multi-cultural teams to develop an opportunities pipeline and win business to achieve the strategic growth goals of the business
Present, promote, sell services using solid arguments to prospective customers
Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of potential customers to meet their needs
Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
Partner with Operations to develop and deploy a comprehensive customer strategy which ensures alignment between the customer's key issues/initiatives and those of Vehicle Group North America
Function as key focal point for all strategic customer issues. Provide customer interface strategy (points of contacts, frequency) and builds strong rapport with key customer decision-makers
Take ownership of total customer satisfaction by establishing and executing a global customer relationship review process and corrective action plans, as appropriate. Champion Eaton’s standing on customer performance metrics (accuracy, corrective action plans)
Articulate clear understanding of current/future targets for relevant product market share, competitive positioning, pricing strategies and standard profits consistent with Eaton's expectations
Negotiate contracts including: commercial terms, pricing, and fulfillment of all compliance requirements
Develop and implements customer growth plans for NAFTA and across the globe for production and aftermarket products
Collaborate with senior leadership on growth and strategies including being a key point of contact for Eaton divisions and driving differentiated technical solutions for the customer
Resolves customer complaints
Manages customer account team and works to develop talent for the future
Lead long-term negotiation / development and contract administration (Deliverables: Pricing, Rebates, Material changes, data book placement, cost out initiatives etc)
Gain understanding of customer needs / wants and competitive landscape and proposes customer specific strategies
Education: BS degree from an accredited institution
Minimum experience: 10 years
Minimum 2 years’ experience in P&L management, cost estimating, pricing, IRR, NPV, and/or CFROG
Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing
Experience in both operations/manufacturing and account management.
3-5 years of experience in a leadership role
Sophisticated intercultural awareness
Excellent negotiating, interpersonal, communication, analytical and strategic planning skills.
Broad business acumen, ability to plan and manage execution of business plans, solution.
Demonstrates deep understanding of the customer's industry and organization (customer focus).
Proven team leader, able to articulate clear direction that is consistent with Eaton's vision, strategy, and direction.

Technical and program management skills - ability to convert customer needs into product features.
