Eaton Corporation Materials Manager in Fort Worth, Texas

Eaton, Aerospace Group is seeking a Materials Manager. The primary responsibility of the Materials Manager is to implement and maintain a world-class materials organization incorporating tactical procurement, inventory management, demand planning, master production scheduling and distribution of materials for the Aerospace Group.

The specific functions of this position include the following:

The Materials Manager will provide strategy and direction for all materials and support functions to optimize material flow to meet and exceed customer requirements in the areas of productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety. This involves the responsibility of standard processes for directing and administering materials scheduling, inventory control, and logistics management.

The Materials Manager must also provide leadership for the implementation of the Aerospace Group Materials Strategy and ensure proper implementation of standard material processes. Responsibilities include development, coordination and deployment of the activities of integrated materials management including demand forecasting, capacity planning, customer scheduling, material / product delivery, advanced supplier replenishment and integrated logistics processes. This includes responsibility for all site material management/procurement processes including; SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Planning), Customer Scheduling, Material and Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Shop Floor management, DX/EX materials, Logistics, and Packaging.

Successful implementation of world-class materials control systems and processes are an integral part of the execution of the materials strategy and processes throughout all of Aerospace. The Materials Manager will work closely with the other Materials Managers to support continuous improvement initiatives, learning and help identify skills, knowledge or functional competencies and expertise vital to the success of the materials strategy.


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Materials

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or related field from an accredited institution

  • Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing/planning tools such as MRP, Materials Scheduling, Kanban, and Min/Max

  • Strong familiarity with Eaton Business System (or OpA)

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly and machining

  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives.

  • Proven ability to improve cash flow and working capital management.

  • Experience with lean principles, global sourcing, ERP and strategic planning.
