Eaton Corporation Production Operator - 1st Shift in Fitzgerald, Georgia
Eaton’s Fluid Hydration’s Division is currently seeking a Production Operator to work 1st Shift. This position is based at our Fitzgerald, GA facility.
The Production Operator is responsible for cutting, preparing, staging, assembly and welding of strainer baskets for the basket manufacturing department. Must be able to use roll forming equipment and perform simple assembly of metal components. Will be responsible for organizing and maintaining basket component inventory and accurate reporting of usage. Meet quality and productivity objectives and targets for department. Assisting with cycle counting of inventory and annual physical inventory as needed. Must perform other job duties as assigned.

You will perform basket fabrication duties as needed and fabricate baskets as specified on basket work orders.
You will read and interpret prints, charts, work orders and other documents used in the manufacture of strainer baskets
You will use measurement and cutting equipment such as tape measures calipers, hand shears, table shear, drill press, cut off tools, grinders, engraver and inductive spot welding machines
You will operate various pieces of fabricating equipment.
You will monitor quality of parts while performing the operations.
You will record production/ quality data as required.
You will keep area clean around machinery and other areas of department.
You will participate in monthly QOS All Employee Meetings.
You will assist other departments when necessary.
You will rotate shifts and work overtime as required.
You will participate in our Continuous Improvement, KAIZEN and TPS initiatives.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship on an ongoing basis.
No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Fitzgerald, GA to be considered.
Previous fabrication and welding experience preferred.
Computer/Software Skills is preferred.
Previous experience working with drawings and prints.
Position Success Criteria:
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Must follow all established job procedures.

Must be able to work with limited supervision.
