Eaton Corporation Paint Line Operator - 1st Shift in Fayetteville, North Carolina

Eaton located in Fayetteville, NC has an opening for Paint Line Operator on 1st Shift

Essential Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate spray booth.

  • Load and Unload parts to paint.

  • Label all parts correctly and give to the material handler

  • Assist in the maintenance of the spray booth and its related equipment.

  • Maintain inventory of paint and supplies.

  • Utilize tools and equipment in preparing surfaces to be painted by sanding or rubbing as required. Paint interior/exterior of parts with avoidance of runs, blemishes, etc..

  • Perform routine operator maintenance on paint guns, mixers, vacuums and other powder paint equipment.

  • Maintain cleanliness of powder room, paint booth and paint line load / unload area.

  • Move and stage parts in and out of work area as needed.

  • Keep accurate records and logs as required. (Ex: Statistical Process Control, etc...)

  • Operate paint line conveyor system, related treatment tanks, burn off ovens, curing oven, and other related equipment under the direction of the Supervisor or Paint Line Attendant.

  • Responsible for the safe operation of the Spray booth and Paint Line to ensure that all safety and quality guidelines are met. (i.e safety glasses, safety shoes, Tyvek suits, respirators, etc

  • Assist other Sheet metal employees in daily operations as directed by Supervisor.

  • Quality inspections

  • Receive written and/or verbal directions from the supervisor or paint line Team Lead

  • Assist other sheet metal employees in daily operations as directed by supervisor.


Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

  • No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Fayetteville, NC facility will be considered.
