Eaton Corporation Engineering Instrumentation Specialist in Euclid, Ohio

Eaton’s Fuel and Motion Control sector, a part of our Aerospace group, is currently seeking an Engineering Instrumentation Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Euclid, OH facility.

Position Overview:

The Engineering Instrumentation Specialist will be responsible for supporting implementation of electronic interface of equipment. The incumbent will support installation of instrumentation and data acquisition equipment.

The Euclid facility has approximately 400 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace Fuel Pumping components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

The Engineering Instrumentation Specialist reports to the Test Engineering Manager and is responsible for the mechanical equipment and instrumentation used on engineering and production test stands which test main engine and airframe pumps.

In this function you will:

  • Determine equipment needed for testing and assist in completing test setups

  • Read and interpret test specifications

  • Record and maintain data in an orderly manner and turn in completed TRs.

  • Provide technical support in troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical and electrical test stand equipment

  • Follow all safety requirements for working in a hazardous (class 1, Division 1, Group D) area.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with electronic equipment

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Euclid, OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in setup, collection, and processing of pressure, temperature, strain, stress, deflection, and other non-standard data

  • Knowledge of Aircraft Accessories, Products and Test Equipment

  • Familiar with Labview and National Instruments

  • Knowledge of airframe or main engine pump testing

Position Criteria:

  • Ability to interpret drawings and test specifications

  • Good Technical Aptitude

  • Good Communication Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment

  • Familiar with working safely with aviation fuel

  • Able to measure hardware using precision instruments

  • Ability to provide electrical interface with drives, data acquisition, and instrumentation
