Eaton Corporation Materials Scheduler in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Eaton’s Hydraulics division is currently seeking a Materials Scheduler to join our team. This position is based at our Eden Prairie, MN location.

Position overview:

The Materials Scheduler will provide daily support to the manufacturing floor by implementing orders generated by Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and/or the demand-pull system. They will also order raw material and purchased parts to maintain the plant's sales plan, and implement the Master Schedule and SIOP system to support the plant's sales plan, marketing forecast, manufacturing plan, and customer demands. Additionally, they will provide leadership and guidance to their supply chain and manufacturing team and maintain manufacturing system ownership. On-time delivery and Inventory goals are the primary focus.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan and allocate materials based on prescribed methodology and ABC (customer lead time) strategy to provide timely delivery to customers.

  • Execute weekly cycle of release, expedite, and review of production requirements to support manufacturing requirements.

  • Drive part deliveries to minimize part shortages while supporting Just-In-Time (JIT) philosophy.

  • Provide supplier forecasting information from Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) forecast where required.

  • Manage and maintain Materials Replenishment Plan (MRP) parameters to meet ABC strategy.

  • Communicate and resolve supplier problems to maintain relationships and production requirements.

  • Manage timely release of work orders for shop floor to balance dual objectives of maintaining high on-time delivery to customers and keeping work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods (FG) inventory to planned levels.

  • Analyze inventory levels and meet days on hand objectives through ABC strategy.

  • Actively support timely disposition of deviated materials and return-to-vendor of defective parts.

  • Manage cycle count, inventory adjustments, and root cause analysis to prevent inventory errors.

  • Review excess and obsolete finished good/component material for possible conversion or scrap.

  • Participate in Eaton continuous improvement programs and actively seek continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Manufacturing, or Engineering

  • 1+ year of work experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

· No relocation is offered for this position. Only candidates located within 50 miles of Galesburg, MI will be considered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications: (Not required to be qualified for the role)

  • Three (3) years of experience within production, procurement or engineering within a manufacturing environment.

  • APICS CPIM certification.

  • SAP experience
