Eaton’s Corporate IT Function is seeking a Senior IT Business Relationship Manager -Tax Legal Investor Relations Business Development CPA Communication in our Administrative Center of Excellence (ADMCOE). The Senior IT BRM will be based at Eaton Center located in Beachwood, OH. No relocation is being offered for this position. The candidate must reside within 50 miles of Beachwood, Ohio.
The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) portion of this role is expected to be the single point of contact aligning the Strategic Plans of IT and the Function, Vet Projects/Programs for reasonability, Manage Support Complaints and Prioritize Projects. BRMs actively participate in all key Operations status and Profit Planning activities.
This individual will identify opportunities, programs, builds consensus across customer base and IT, develop business cases (with ROI analysis) to secure funding, and execute initiatives through the appropriate build teams. This role spans multiple business processes.
The Program Management portion of this role is expected to be the single point of contact for the business into IT to achieve Service Delivery commitments, Facilitate Escalations, Resource Management Delivery Personnel, Mitigate Risks and Govern Project Delivery. This BRM will be responsible for Program Management for Contract Lifecycle Management, TAXi and OWM.
This role is responsible to:
Ensure significant programs and projects are delivered effectively and reliably to meet the strategic business objectives – includes all aspects of planning, process design, process definition, measurement, reporting, budgeting and execution.
Ensure customer alignment with IT strategy, IT guiding principles and organizational/Eaton strategy
Ensure all stakeholders are engaged, programs and projects are completed and return on investment is realized
Establish customer project priorities & communicate customer issues/needs with IT. Point of contact for customer escalations and complaints
Define IT Structure; restructure IT organization to meet changing business needs; cross-train and lead to succeed
Perform vendor management and contract negotiations and reviews
Utilize complex processes and organizational change management
Lead and drive complex programs and projects (often in parallel) leveraging the Corporate Functions and all the other IT CoEs as required.
Govern all Projects/Programs by reviewing Plans, Risks, Quality Results and Issues; Ensure there is a Mitigation Strategy
Manage 6 project managers/business/functional analysts and is expected to proactively identify opportunities for IT solutions to generate business value and provide input to Strategic Planning.
Manage the following functions and sub functions: Tax, Legal, Corporate Secretary, Investor Relations, Community and Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Corporate Business Development and Planning and Economics.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
10 yrs Project Management experience
5 yrs experience working with internal business partners
3 yrs experience with profit planning, capital vs. expense rules, managing resource recoveries
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Manager of people experience
Bachelor's Degree, MBA a plus
Knowledge of Corporate and Operations Applications and processes (HR, Finance and Financial processes, Tax, ERPs, etc.)
Experience working with Fortune 500 Organization
Strong Command Skills; relishes leading, taking unpopular stands if necessary, encourages direct and tough debate but isn't afraid to end it and move on, is looked to for direction in a crisis, faces adversity head on, energized by tough challenges. Strong written and communication skills. Combination of strategic and tactical planning and execution.
